MUCH LOVE AND GREETINGS FROM YOUR FRIEND AND BISHOP – THE RT. REV’D PROF. SAMUEL O. IKE – the Diocesan, Anglican Diocese of Enugu.
Your season of active involvement in kingdom’s advancement is now; please read, digest and share.
1. Every parent sees their children with the eye of the future. Dear son, your parents are your greatest prophets. Please never dishonour them.
2. Pastor, invest in raising vibrant, and purpose-driven young believers. They are the foundation of tomorrow’s church. To our dear young men and women; you can be youthful and useful.
3. There is a keeping of records by divinity over your life. Live with eternity in view. Jesus Christ is coming back again soon.
4. A transformed heart, not money, is the most essential tool you need to work for God. Material prosperity is secondary to a true servant’s calling.
(Matthew 6:33).
5. Have you now gotten so used to sin for survival, that you can no longer live without it just like a fish cannot live without water? By insisting that you are like fish that cannot do without water, so we cannot do but live in sin, to survive. Brother, God created you better. You are not a fish and you will never be. Shed the toga of sin today and wear His nature through salvation. (Luke 19:9&10).
6. God turned away from His only Son because He bore the sins of the world on the cross; Sir/Ma; God will not spare your sin no matter how popular you are in the Church. (Titus 2:11&12).
7. When Jesus asks you to follow Him, His interest is not to diminish you or make your life miserable but to beautify and make you. Follow Him, His yoke is easy, friends. (Romans 8:9&10).
8. The greatest mockery of the entity called man is to make boast of himself and his achievements. Man, you are a glorified dust that can phase off any time unannounced. (Genesis 3:19).
9. Just because your sin has not found you out and remained hidden does not mean you are pure before the Lord; sin can humiliate a man badly. Don’t wait till that sin finds you out. Repent today!
10. God’s standard is sure. The only guarantee for a mortal man to name the name of the Lord is to depart from iniquity. You are not a Christian because you go to Church and are baptized in the Church but because you have embraced/surrendered to Christ and have stopped living in sin. (2 Timothy 2:19; 1John 3:9).
11. Friends, every gift God has given you is meant to build up the body of Christ. Having the ability but not making yourself available is a disregard for His divine wisdom. Use every resource and talent at your disposal to make Jesus Christ known in our dying world. Be a blessing and an asset to the body of Christ (Luke 5:7).
12. Teachability is the key to God’s hidden treasures. When you stop learning at Jesus’ feet via the word of God you are a dead man already. Being Spiritually dead while alive is a very devastating condition. (Isaiah 66:3c).
13. Being amenable in God’s hand qualifies a man a wise man but the world calls such man a fool. Brother, please it is better to be a fool in the eyes of men and be wise in the eyes of God.
14. Serving God in righteousness and holiness all the days of your life not only qualifies you for heaven but places you above devil’s molestations. Friends, you lose nothing by being holy in a morally debased generation.
Friends, this is amazing; first quarter of 2025 is gone already. Our covenant keeping God will see you through in the month of April and in this second quarter of the year. Congratulations.
