April 2025 Edition of Excerpts from some of His Lordship’s Messages

MUCH LOVE AND GREETINGS FROM YOUR FRIEND AND BISHOP – THE RT. REV’D PROF. SAMUEL O. IKE, the Diocesan, Anglican Diocese of Enugu.

Aligning yourself to God’s purpose for your life is the best thing that can happen to your destiny; please read, digest and share.

1. When your service to God is driven by human sense, you become a victim of the eventuality that befell brother Ananias and sister Sapphira. It takes a good measure of selflessness to serve the Lord. (Acts 5:1-11).

2. If you are born only in the flesh you are not complete; being born of the Spirit (Born Again) makes a man complete. (John 3:6).

3. Reckless abandon is the extent to which a man should worship God. Nothing attracts divinity like wholesome worship. Please be a true worshiper of the Lord.

4. Human applause does not cancel God’s judgement over a sinner; His validation over a life comes by His own terms, not by people’s opinion.

5. His Lordship’s 6 Principles of “Spiritual Service”– a roadmap to anyone who desires to serve God better.
* Principle 1 – have the attitude/heart of a servant. (Mark 10:43-45).
* Principle 2 – serve with sincerity of heart as unto the Lord. (Colossians 3:17, 23).
* Principle 3 – serve acceptably in holiness. (Hebrews 12:28).
* Principle 4 – serve faithfully. (1 Corinthians 4:2).
* Principle 5 – serve sacrificially. (2 Samuel 24:24).
* Principle 6 – serve to excel. (2 Samuel 16:17 & 19).

6. The greatest gift/ asset of every young man is his strength; strength channeled towards kingdom matters has eternal reward.

7. The greatest gift you will give to a sinner is not title, but the gift of salvation. You can answer a primate, prelate, pope, bishop, apostle, prophet, pastor, evangelist etc., yet you lack credibility before a Holy God.

8. No other blood could wash the sins of the world but the blood of Jesus Christ. Are you washed by the blood of the Lamb? Your eternity can only be secured therein. (Hebrews 10:4-12).

9. Ceremonially clean; keeping oneself clean/ holy occasionally is the highest hypocrisy and deceit in the Church. Holiness should be your nature and daily habit; not only when you want to partake in the Holy Communion or any other sacramental rituals.

10. Jesus Christ has carried your sins outside the camp; please believe this. No matter how deep you have gone in sin, God will forgive you if you confess them. (Isaiah 53:4; Psalms 51:9).

11. The blood of Jesus cleanses while other blood (animal sacrifices) covers. When you are ceremonially cleansed, you can still commit formication, steal, lie, cheat, and still be comfortable in the Church.

12. The goodness of God can never make Him compromise His standard on the day of judgment. Friends, please be warned, the same God who is merciful is a consuming fire. All sinners must come to God’s judgement.

13. Being led by the Spirit of God qualifies you as a child of God; not being a member of a denomination.

14. The mercy of God cannot be monetized; His mercy is for all. Nothing attracts God’s mercy like a broken heart. Your brokenness is the greatest advantage you have in this kingdom for you to obtain God’s mercy.

Friends, sleeping and waking up is not an achievement. The mystery is called Mercy of God. MERCY OF GOD WILL SPEAK FOR YOU IN THIS MONTH OF MAY. Congratulations.
