Inauguration:
The Diocesan Men’s Christian Fellowship was inaugurated by His Lordship, (then) Rt. Rev. Dr. Emmanuel O. Chukwuma (OON), (then) Bishop of Enugu, on August 27, 2000, at St. Bartholomew’s Church Asata, Enugu.

Membership:
Membership of the Fellowship is open to all married men in the Anglican Diocese of Enugu, and if unmarried, at the attainment of the age of thirty (30).

Mandate:

1) To foster brotherly love based on mutual understanding amongst men.

2) To create a conducive atmosphere for mutual exchange of views and ideas amongst men on the grounds of our common faith.

3) To effectively motivate and mobilize men to rise up to the challenge of building the Church of God, Priests and leaders in their various homes and Churches respectively.

4) To equip men through effective discipleship and Bible study, for evangelism and missions as true witnesses for Christ (2 Timothy 2:2)

5) To create the awareness that “Men ought always to pray and not to faint.” (Luke 18:1)

6) To encourage men to regard fellowshipping with one another, not only as a serious business, but also inevitable, if we are to fulfill our God-given task of being our brother’s keeper. (Acts 2:41-47)

7) To cater for the welfare of members and hence — help the Fellowship (MCF) to grow from strength to strength throughout this Diocese. (Acts 4:32-37)

NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS:

To the Glory of God, the Diocesan Christian Men’s Fellowship has witnessed fervent zeal and growth in spirituality amongst men in their relationship with Christ and amongst Brethren, evidenced by increased interest. Diocesan spiritual programs, including retreats, rural evangelism, Alone with God, meetings, annual conference and bible study, have all witnessed a 100% to 300% growth. The tenure of office of all elected officers is two (2) years in the first instance. Such officers shall be eligible for re-election for a second tenure in the same (i.e maximum of 4 years).

=> Sustained Rural Missions and Evangelism drive

=> Completion of our Diocesan (DCMF) Headquarters/Secretariat office

=> Provision of full capacity seating at Chapel of Salvation at Union Boys Secondary school.

=> Provision of Toilet facility at Union Boys Secondary School, reticulated with running water.
