JULY 2026 EDITION OF EXCERPTS FROM SOME OF HIS LORDSHIP’S MESSAGES.
MUCH LOVE AND GREETINGS FROM YOUR FRIEND AND BISHOP – THE RT. REV’D PROF. SAMUEL O. IKE, the Diocesan Bishop of Enugu (Anglican Communion).
Please read, digest and share.
1. The greatest and most authentic weapon for enduring success is the Word of God. Friends, make God’s Word the ultimate authority in your life and destiny. Success built on wealth, influence, human wisdom, or connections may fade, but success founded on God’s Word stands the test of time and eternity. (Joshua 1:8; Psalm 119:105; Isaiah 40:8).
2. Heaven’s standard for recruiting labourers is not idleness but, diligence. Jesus never calls the idle into His service; He calls those who are Faithfully engaged, Available, Willing and Teachable [FAWT]. Therefore, Child of God, arise from spiritual complacency, occupy yourself with the Master’s business, and abound in the work of the Lord. God rewards faithful labour, not lazy excuses. (1 Corinthians 15:58; Matt hew 9:37 – 38; Ecclesiastics 9:10).
3. His Lordship has provided an answer to a dying and decaying society:
Christian values transform and refine a society more effectively than any human policy or legislation. When men and women genuinely live according to the principles of God’s Word: righteousness, justice, integrity, love, and compassion flourish, bringing lasting change to individuals and nations. May your life continually reflect the character of Jesus. (Proverbs 14:34; Romans 12:21).
4. Dear Child of God, regardless of the level of moral decay and spiritual darkness in your environment, do not conform to the standards of this world. Rather, let the light of Christ in you shine so brightly that it becomes God’s answer to a dark and dying generation. (Matthew 5:14 – 16; Phil 2: 15).
5. The Ultimate Gift in the History of the Human Race:
No one born of a woman can ever out give God. He gave the ultimate and greatest Gift to humanity—His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Through Christ comes the priceless gift of salvation, eternal life, and every spiritual blessing. Indeed, Jesus is the Source of every good and perfect gift.
Friends, make Jesus Christ the Lord of your life today. (John 3:16; Romans 8:32; James 1:17).
6. WHAT YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO MISS: THE RESURRECTION MORNING
The resurrection morning is the greatest hope of every true believer in Christ. Jesus Christ is coming again—just as He promised. On that glorious day, the dead in Christ shall rise, and those who are ready will be caught up to be with the Lord forever.
Friend, are you prepared to meet Him? The opportunity to repent is today. After death, there is no second chance for repentance. (Hebrews 9:27; 2 Corinthians 6:2; Revelation 22:7).

7. When Knowledge Becomes a Bad Master:
Knowledge becomes a bad master when the pursuit of information takes the place of the pursuit of God. While knowledge has great value, it can never replace a living relationship with the Lord. The greatest wisdom is to know God and walk with Him. (Proverbs 9:10; Jeremiah 29:13; Matthew 6:33).
8. When You Are the Only Star That Shines:
It is a serious mistake when your life revolves only around yourself, your family, and your children, while neglecting God’s kingdom and the lives of others. God did not bless you merely for personal comfort but also to become a blessing to your generation. Dear friends, be intentional about living a life that counts for God. (Matthew 5:16; Philippians 2:4; Hebrews 10:24).
9. Don’t Fall into the Trap of Social Media:
While social media can be a useful tool for communication and learning, it should never replace your personal fellowship with God or your study of His Word. His Lordship rightly enjoins us to read and study the Scriptures for ourselves so that we may know the truth and not be carried away by every opinion or misleading teaching online. (2 Timothy 2:15; Acts 17:11; Psalm 1:2 – 3).
10. There Is No Such Thing as Half – Obedience in God’s Kingdom:
Friends, there is no such thing as half-obedience in the Kingdom of God. Partial obedience is still disobedience before the Lord. God is the Sovereign King of heaven and earth; He is not a beggarly God who negotiates His standards. Therefore, He demands complete, joyful, and wholehearted obedience from all who belong to Him. (1 Samuel 15:22; Deuteronomy 28:1 – 2; John 14:15).
11. Living by the opinions of others is dangerous — it can cost you eternity. Many people have missed God’s purpose because they feared human approval more than God’s approval. As followers of Christ, we are called to obey God rather than seek the praise of men. Never allow public opinion to silence your faith or compromise your obedience to the Lord. (Mark 8:36; Galatians 1:10; Proverbs 29:25).
12. You cannot remain in control of your own life and, at the same time, expect God to be in control of it. Surrender your heart completely to Him and allow Him to shape, lead, and make you into the person He created you to be. A life yielded to God is a life transformed for His glory. (Proverbs 3:5 – 6; Isaiah 64:8).
FRIENDS, THIS SEASON, MAY THE LORD CAUSE THE WORK OF YOUR HANDS TO FLOURISH, ESPECIALLY IN THIS MONTH OF AUGUST. YOU ARE DEEPLY VALUED AND HIGHLY APPRECIATED.
